Birthline has been working in San Diego for 30 years. Restoring faith in a sometimes discouraging world, Birthline helps women through the problems that lead them to consider abortion.
This is a pro-life program in which we provide emotional support, material assistance and referrals to other community resources for any pregnant woman, as well as women with small children.

We at Birthline recognize that abortion is a two-fold problem affecting the baby and the mother. As a result, our counselors inform women on abortion and its alternatives while offering practical assistance to encourage them to choose life and carry their babies to term.

Birthline has beautiful choices to offer, to give life a chance...and make a decision that both the mother and child can live with.

Birthline was founded by Catherine Ewers, a married mother living in San Diego in 1979. She founded birthline as a non-profit organization dedicated to helping mothers in times of crisis to make "life" an option.

She developed a program by which she could give women the resources needed to carry their baby to term, and either parent or opt for adoption upon the birth of her child.
